Friends from out of state are staying a couple of nights, so I took them on my favorite route.

Stunning. I was in WA for a short drive today in the truck, beautiful day to be out.
What fort is that?

It’s always weird to see basically the same pictures I’ve taken of the lighthouse, Fort Casey, Deception Pass, and those wind blown trees are really cool. My sister in law lives in that area, it’s been a few years since I’ve been out. Their previous house used to be right at the end of the runway for the NAS, I have a couple of pictures with the pilots waving.

B eautiful piece of country... and those planes made out of beer cans at Flyer’s in Oak Harbor there are cool too. I wish their beer were a little better though...

I agree on the beer, but I love their burgers.

We should plan on grabbing a beer at Toby’s when I’m out for New Years.

Great photos. My brother has a summer house on Camano Island, so I was just there last summer. It’s an odd feeling kayaking in the Sound knowing there’s 400 feet of water below you.
